Product Description

The Resistor, "shunt," is usually called the Resistor in daily life.  A current-limiting element that connects a resistor to a circuit. The resistor has a fixed value, usually two pins, that limits the current flowing through the branches to which it is connected.  Those whose value cannot be changed are called fixed resistors.  Those with variable resistance are called potentiometers or variable resistors.  An ideal resistor is linear, that is, the instantaneous current passing through the resistor is proportional to the instantaneous voltage applied.  Variable resistor for divider.  One or two movable metal contacts are pressed tightly against the exposed resistor.  Contact position Determines the resistance between any end of the resistor and the contact.

A two-terminal device that has a deterministic functional relationship between terminal voltage and current and represents the ability to convert electrical energy into other forms, expressed by the letter R and expressed in ohm ω.  Actual devices such as light bulbs, heating wires, resistors, etc., may be represented as resistor elements.

The resistance value of a resistance element is generally related to temperature, material, length, and cross-sectional area. The physical quantity that measures the effect of temperature on resistance is the temperature coefficient, which is defined as the percentage change in resistance for each 1℃ increase in temperature.  The main physical feature of resistance is that it can transform electricity into heat energy, or it can be said that it is an energy-consuming element, through which the current produces internal energy.  Resistance usually plays the role of voltage divider and shunt in a circuit.  For signals, both AC and DC signals can pass through a resistor.
